Narrative Therapy Conference 2026

Liverpool, July 2026

It’s been a pleasure to spend the last few days in a hot and sunny Liverpool at the 2026 Conference of Narrative Therapy and Community Work themed on “Discovering Resistance, Building Community”. I have been listening to the work of colleagues from across the globe who are also inspired by the ideas and ethics of narrative practice.

Alongside my colleague Nicky Gorb, I was fortunate to present a workshop exploring the histories and stories behind people’s names. An exercise that we have enjoyed revisiting and sharing with others to connect us to stories of change, resistance and resilience.

I’m excited to share and develop ideas from the conference in my future practice.
